Armando Ruiz, ICE informants, ALPR tracking, Techdirt covers “targeted individuals”

Obtained Records Show ICE Is Using ALPR Databases To Reconstruct Targets’ Lives
from the oh-good-real-world-examples-of-domestic-surveillance dept…

Tue, Jun 11th 2019 3:28am — Tim Cushing
ICE has full-blown access to license plate databases around the nation, as well as its own direct hookup to the largest ALPR database itself — the one compiled by ALPR manufacturer Vigilant. It places almost no restrictions on searches of these databases. Anything that somehow isn’t compliant can be farmed out to state and local agencies to perform searches by proxy.
The ACLU has obtained records showing just how much access ICE has, and how often it performs searches. The numbers are staggering, considering ICE is an immigration and customs enforcement agency with a more limited scope than the FBI and other investigative agencies.

——
Armando Ruiz came from covert war ravaged Guatemala, to America wrapped in garbage bags, in the tank of a petroleum truck, choking on fumes the whole way.
Or, at least thats the story I got out of him through my choppy Spanish and his halting English, both of which improved dramatically over the years we knew each other.
And, the last time,I saw Armando, he had appeared at my doorway, with a message: that Jesus loves me.
Of course, I looked to the right, and the left, expecting the usual white van or pickup truck with tinted wibdows to be hovering within two blocks, and out into the shadowy, snowy street, and then back at Armando, and told him I was glad he was still in the USA, having been deported numerous times, always finding the $3-6000 that it takes to hire a coyote to bring him across the border.
Bur really, I looked out there in the street because the Jesus people and their Pharisees who run fake churches from within the Panoptical Fusion Center fueled local law enfarcement schemes had an ICE informant on my doorstep, with my door tentatively opened.
And, in the due process free, gray area “high policing” schemes that are the modern Alphabet agency mission creep, an open door creates legal gray are that agencies like ICE exploit, preferring to insert unconstitutional means and methods into the lives of their targets as frequently as possible, knowing that-in the words of the FBIs J. Edgar Whosequeer, “the individual is handicapped…” by an actual, monstrous conspiracy.
And that conspiracy, the total corruption of law enforcement, as America has now fully blossomed into a bankster funded police and total surveillance state.
For that one (or two, or three) journalists following along, trying to understand the bi-polar narrative of organized gang stalking, with OGS denialists from the DHS/FBI/ICE/ et alphabet spewing psychobabble like this about electronic beams and face orbs on one side, and targeted individuals on the other side, an FOIA for the name Armando Ruiz, Minneapolis would be a Panoptical eye opener.
But I thanked Armando for his naive good will, and slowly closed the door.
And then, through the screen, I asked him in broken Spanish if the policia de los Estados Unitos were taking good care of him.
He broke out in a laugh, and looked sideways from under his Israeli styled Kepi hat, as we shared the relief of an unspoken secret, and said, “Me, no complain. Mi vida es good righ now.”

Tim Cushing pushing for ROGS' Gary Webb award for excellence in gang stalking journalism?

Of all the ways that ROGS blog-the blog you are reading right now-has changed the discussion about organized gang stalking, I think that my Gary Webb Award for Excellence in journalism is probably my best contribution.
That award carries a one thousand dollar stipend, and the winner also gets a golden trophy of a pigs trough with the bottom chewed out, with two golden .22 caliber bullets dangling above it. I will let the awardee contemplate the design of the award for themselves, but note that Gary Webb reported one of the best series in the history of journalism, won a Pullitzer Prize, and then, got gang stalked to death.

Related Story: What does a blog post written in a free WordPress blog look like when the blog is being tampered with, in real time, by an Infragard member, a Fusion Center, or any of many NSA/Alohabet agency speech suppression tools and tactics? see this post here, where I attempted to link the QaNON “conspiracy theory” to a SWAT team member who greeted the vice president wearing a Qanon patch.

That award is offered for any journalist who can use the term “organized gang stalking” appropriately when discussing this issue.
And, Tim Cushing, of the worlds premiere technology blog, Techdirt.com comes awfully close in this article below, but-not close enough to be a contender YET.
And, lesser journalists are starting to step up to the plate to take a swing at that award, as we see with the reportage in another MSM piece that reported on the organized gang stalking of tech guru John McAffee, the worlds first inventor of anti-virus software.
Well, heres another excellent puece by Cushing, covering due process free and BIZARRE police activity, as they stalk, harass, and spy on people in Boston, MA, which has some of the most deeply entrenched Catholic and neocon racism and hidden theocracy in America:
Lawsuit: Boston PD’s ‘Gang Database’ Says People Who Wear Nikes And Have Been Beat Up By Gang Members Are ‘Gang Associates’
from the guilty-until-negatives-proven dept
The Chinese government uses a number of measures to keep tabs on citizens. One is what’s known as a “citizen score” — a compilation of all the good/bad habits the government can track that determines whether a person should be viewed as a contributor to society or someone the government should take out of circulation.
We do the same thing here in the US. Credit scores determine who gets to live where and what vehicle they can own. It also can affect employment opportunities. This version of a “citizen score” is compiled by private parties who have access to information Americans are given no choice in relinquishing.
But the government also uses point-based systems to determine what kind of citizen you are: one of the good OK guys or possible a menace II to society. The ACLU is currently suing the Boston Police Department over its ad hoc “citizen score.” The BPD adds and subtracts points to add and (possibly?) subtract people from its “gang database.” Things citizens actively do — and even things they passively don’t — can put them on this watchlist.
From the ACLU’s public records lawsuit [PDF]:
Under the point system, a person is designated as a “Gang Associate” if he is assessed six or more points, and a “Gang Member” if he is assessed ten or more points. See Exhibit A, Boston Police Department Rules and Procedures Rule 335.
The point system makes it possible to designate someone a Gang Associate or Gang Member without any allegation that he engaged in violence or criminal activity.
An individual may be assessed eight points for being the victim of gang-related violence.
Yes, you read that right: Boston residents magically become “Gang Associates” if they’re shot at by gang members. Or carjacked. Or mugged. If this happens twice, it appears they’ll be upgraded to “Gang Member” thanks to their inability to avoid being victimized by gang members.

Washington State, mind control documents, Fusion Center spying, police state bloggers, and GOD BLESS TECHDIRT.COM

DHS Fusion Center Gets Request For Documents On Extremists, Decides To Hand Over Mind Control Docs Instead
from the here’s-the-thing-you-didn’t-ask-for-but-will-probably-enjoy-reading dept

What  is  24-7 monitoring  of targeted  activists,  dissidents,  journalists, and  other  targeted individuals? Fusion Center  spying, the bizarre  quasi-Constitutional DHS/ICE/HSI  methods of secret policing, and the  NSA-Israel-FVEY data  theft  is de facto total  spectrum monitoring and  psycholigical  operations, aka mind  control,  by any  other name.

By  Tim  Cushing, of  Techdirt.com
Once you release a document to a public records requesters, it’s a public record, whether you meant to release it or not. The person handling FOIA requests for the Washington State Fusion Center (a DHS/local law enforcement collaboration known more for its failures than successes) sent Curtis Waltman something unexpected back in April. Waltman asked the Fusion Center for records pertaining to Antifa and white supremacy groups. He did get those records. But he also got something titled “EM effects on human body.zip.”
Instead of intel and assessments on local Antifa/white supremacists, Waltman found things like this:
And this:
The files did not appear to have been generated by any government agency, but rather collected from other sources who thought there might be some way the government could control minds using electronic stimulation or “remote brain mapping.” Why the Fusion Center had them on hand remains a mystery, as does their attachment to a FOIA request containing nothing about electronic mind manipulation.
This inadvertent disclosure has led to more requests for the same documents. Only this time, requesters — like Joshua Eaton of ThinkProgress — are asking specifically for government mind control files.
It appears the Fusion Center first thought about withholding some mind control docs, but somewhere along the line decided it couldn’t pretend the documents that weren’t supposed to be released hadn’t actually been released.
An email chain in the release [PDF] to Eaton contains an apology from the staffer who accidentally sent Waltman the mind control files.
Good afternoon Gretchen,
First of all I want to apologize the same way I apologize with my supervisor Lt Boyle and [redacted] I do not like to give excuses but I really sent this without intention when it was not responsive. I sent the original email to [redacted] with the attachments. I will try not make more mistakes…. Now, because of my error MuckRock sent another PDR. Sorry again for the situation and have great afternoon…
Gretchen (the Public Records Officer for the Washington State Police) tells the staffer not to worry about it. Apparently, sending the wrong files to requesters happens frequently, but otherwise, everyone is doing a great job, including the person who sent mind control files with a batch of extremist docs.
But that apology and forgiveness is preceded by the same staffer asking for another review of documents she already released to another requester, possibly in hopes of denying this release.
Erik,
[redacted] told me if you could review this. Mudrock is claiming that DHS did created this. I think I was not supposed to release this but it was public.
Can you help me what can I tell my Public Disclosure coordinator?
Sorry for the inconvenience
No response from Erik is included in the document so one assumes the release went ahead without his additional input. Now this requester has a copy of this email chain, something pulled from an internet “mind control forum,” and, inexplicably, the KKK documents released to Waltman in response to his FOIA request.
So, if you’re looking to obtain public records but don’t particularly care what records you receive, it appears the Washington State Fusion Center is a great place to try your luck.

Facebook investor agrees with ROGS: Facebook is worse than Hitler's propaganda

My regular readers will note that day after day, we see that my many “theories” and so on are validated by surprisingly rational people-and, sometimes, by billionaires too. But “mind control experiences on the internet” are real, Dorothy! And-the internet is planned that way from the state level to the corporation that does this crap-these are inter-conected in the endeavor of brainwashing us the peeple- social media like Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and more are ALL actively seeking to influence us, manipulate our dopamine levels, our choices, and more.
So-if the corporation is doing that, what do you think the Company might be up to? I think all those “color revolutions” and “jasmine” in the ME provide examples of ‘what is possible’ don’t you?
I saw something! I am SAYING something, officer Friendly! I saw some vampires that need a kick in the teeth! And those vampires are using mind control on children-and even putting creepy crap into their Youtube viewing!!!
Here- have a look at what I said a few months back-after I got p!ssed that OGS denialist’s were overlooking how some are using the internet to actually target, harass, and cause harm to others, AFTER they had entrapped all of our data, and passed us around inter-continentally as if we are mere drunken air hostesses or floozies(.)(.)
I said: This here about “memetic neuro fasciitis,”and a bunch of other stuff about how the internet is in fact-and in PRACTICE being used to manipulate urr minds, in real time. And look-the ACLU has noted the Fusion Centers are themselves complicit in manipulating user data, and Twitter even plugged the “firehose” that subverted our free will at the switch. In fact, my lone wolf cry in the wilds has produced what could well be the Snowdenball effect, where the whole spy apparatus gets the firehose turned into its own Panoptical eyeballs. And, gang stalking will take a kick in the teeth too, cuz guess wut? People from 12 nations peeked in here today alone!
lone wolf journalism
And look! Even Tim Cushing over at Techdirt.com [link here] and Mark Harris of Wired is kicking Peter Thiel in his crystal balls. Big Data Lawsuits will be bigger than the Big Tobacco Lawsuits by far:

Mark Harris of Wired has put together a fascinating expose of the company’s work with US law enforcement based on documents obtained via FOIA requests. What’s uncovered does little to alter Palantir’s reputation as an enemy of personal privacy. What’s added to this rep isn’t any more flattering: the documents show Palantir handles data carelessly, ties customers into overpriced support/upgrades, and otherwise acts as though it has to answer to no one.
In one case, files marked as sensitive by a Long Beach drug squad detective were still accessible by other officers who shouldn’t have had access. Multiple emails to Palantir failed to resolve the issue. Making it worse was the fact the problem couldn’t be contained in-house. When agencies sign up for Palantir services, they’re given heavily-discounted rates if they allow their data to be shared with other law enforcement agencies. Detectives hoping to protect sensitive sources and undercover cops from outside access were finding out their employers had signed that option away in exchange for cheaper initial pricing.
That’s just the beginning of Palantir problems uncovered by these public document requests:
In the documents our requests produced, police departments have also accused the company, backed by tech investor and Trump supporter Peter Thiel, of spiraling prices, hard-to-use software, opaque terms of service, and “failure to deliver products” (in the words of one email from the Long Beach police). Palantir might streamline some criminal investigations—but there’s a possibility that it comes at a high cost, for both the police forces themselves and the communities they serve.

Yup- all the hungry yvampires are programming your children, and milking all of our data. Well-not MY data per se, as I don’t use social media, unless I am experimenting or doing security research. I am targeted in other ways that Facebook users are not, because I have been stalked, hacked, harassed, targeted and worse since 2004.when I wrote a few news stories about neo-McCarthyism. How wrong I was then-because it’s so much worse than even ol’ Joe could have told us then.
But, as we see-the FBI takes down web pages after mass shootings- because SOMETHING is wrong over at Facebook, and how some peoles data streaam is influenced-but it’s also wrong all over the web in general. And I am on record as being perhaps the fist person anywhere, ever to draw these comparisons, or point the reader, and the journalists to how “the internet” is being used by actual real people, in real time, to harass and manipulate people online.
Well-have a look at what this lil’ ol’  billionaire is saying a couple days ago: Roger McNamee “likened the techniques of the techniques of the company to Mr Bernays and Hitler’s public relations minister.”
So, to the researcher, the psychologist, and the potential future litigant-but ESPECIALLY to the litigator and the criminal defense attorney, take note that the official denial of organized gang stalking has taken a major hit and that Edward Bernay’s version of brainwashing has made it into the MSM-so ROGS isn’t alone in comparing “the internet” to mind control, or providing examples, as ALL major works of previous propaganda are now in line with the ROGS thesis.
And, while you’re here, please take a copy of the ACLU, EFF, NACDL’s guide to government hacking along with you-now if we can just get to work on a “guide to government mind control practices” we will speed this along, all the way up to the FISA court. (did that ding any bells there at the Fusion Center? I hope so, because police states don’t just go away-add that phrase to your matrix, you will need it at FISA).
Ahhh, I am ready for my closeup, Mr. DeMille! The crazy guy on the internet sayyyys:

Early Facebook investor compares the social network to Nazi propaganda, likens its workers to Goebbels and claims it is creating a climate of ‘fear and anger’

  • Former Facebook investor warns tech giant has ‘absolved itself of responsibility’
  • Roger McNamee likened social network’s methods to Nazi propaganda chief
  • Comes as analysts expect Facebook usage to go down in teenagers this year

Speaking in Washington, the former investor said everyone was now ‘in one degree or another addicted’ to the site while he feared the platform was causing people to swap real relationships for phoney ones.

And he likened the techniques of the techniques of the company to Mr Bernays and Hitler’s public relations minister.

‘In order to maintain your attention they have taken all the techniques of Edward Bernays and Joseph Goebbels, and all of the other people from the world of persuasion, and all the big ad agencies, and they’ve mapped it onto an all day product with highly personalised information in order to addict you,’ Mr McNamee told The Telegraph.

Mr McNamee said Facebook was creating a culture of ‘fear and anger’. ‘We have lowered the civil discourse, people have become less civil to each other,’ he said.

Mr McNamee said the tech giant had ‘weaponised’ the First Amendment to ‘essentially absolve themselves of responsibility’. He added: ‘I say this as somebody who was there at the beginning.’

Speaking of horrifying spy racketeers aiming million dollar blackmail at citizen's: meet Rose McGowan's electronic voyeurs

From Mike Masnick at Techdirt.com, we get another glimpse at how the deep state spy rings silence victims of spying and blackmail in the case of high powered attorney David Boies using his law office as a front for a spy racket. Get out your ROGS BINGO card ….:

David Boies Accused Of Running Horrifying Spy Operation Against Harvey Weinstein’s Accusers

from the and-reporters dept

David Boies is one of the highest profile lawyers in the country. I first became aware of him when he (as outside counsel) represented the Justice Department in the overreaching antitrust case against Microsoft in the 1990s. However, I think most people became aware of him when he represented Al Gore in Bush v. Gore. Since then, nearly every time he’s popped up in Techdirt, it’s been doing really, really sketchy things. He was the lawyer for SCO in that company’s insane “set open source on fire” lawsuit against IBM over Linux. He represented Oracle in its ridiculous lawsuit against Google over whether APIs are covered by copyright*. He represented Sony Pictures after its email was hacked and threatened lots of journalists — including us! — for publishing stories based on those leaked emails (we told him “go pound sand.”) And, honestly, until earlier this week, I thought the most egregious efforts by Boies had been his connection to Theranos, the disgraced medical devices company, where Boies wasn’t just a lawyer for the company, but on the board, and participated in terrible and far-reaching attempts to punish whistleblowers at the company.
But, it turns out that Boies’ activity in trying to stifle whistlebowers and reporters regarding Theranos and Sony Pictures were just the warm up act for a truly horrifying bit of business revealed by Ronan Farrow in the New Yorker this week. It was widely reported that Boies was a key player on Harvey Weinstein’s legal team, responding to the claims of sexual harassment and assault, but the Farrow article shows just how deep the campaign went, with Boies allegedly orchestrating an “army of spies” to try to trick Weinstein’s accusers and reporters working on the story to reveal what they knew. The whole article is incredible, but here’s just a snippet, involving one of Weinstein’s most outspoken victims, Rose McGowan:

In May, 2017, McGowan received an e-mail from a literary agency introducing her to a woman who identified herself as Diana Filip, the deputy head of sustainable and responsible investments at Reuben Capital Partners, a London-based wealth-management firm. Filip told McGowan that she was launching an initiative to combat discrimination against women in the workplace, and asked McGowan, a vocal women’s-rights advocate, to speak at a gala kickoff event later that year. Filip offered McGowan a fee of sixty thousand dollars. “I understand that we have a lot in common,” Filip wrote to McGowan before their first meeting, in May, at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills. Filip had a U.K. cell-phone number, and she spoke with what McGowan took to be a German accent. Over the following months, the two women met at least three more times at hotel bars in Los Angeles and New York and other locations. “I took her to the Venice boardwalk and we had ice cream while we strolled,” McGowan told me, adding that Filip was “very kind.” The two talked at length about issues relating to women’s empowerment. Filip also repeatedly told McGowan that she wanted to make a significant investment in McGowan’s production company.

Beyond being a bastion of exelent journalism in the face of an oppressive surveillance state, Masnick also hosts other like minded writers who have a grasp on the technological assault waged by the deep state on our right’s of speech, press, and assembly; and privacy rights not yet enumerated.
Few face the threats that writers, bloggers, and journalists face right here in America. I you read trough my writing, you will see me shot, Tased, followed, and more, since 2004.I personally don’t need any stories from pimple faced writers at Salon or the HuffPost about journalists in some banan republic- because right here in America, we are under attack.
And, as usual, the word is mighter than the sword, and journalism the go-to weapon of non-violent resistance to big bullies, as more and more writers are writing great stuff-Techdirt tops the list of GREAT STUFF about technology, first amendment, and more.
Here is Tim Cushing, also of Techdirt, writing on air-to-ground surveillance of citizens:

Texas National Guard Latest Agency To Be Discovered Operating Flying Cell Tower Spoofers

from the sky-spies dept

More evidence of high-flying surveillance has been uncovered by public records requests. The Texas Observer reports it has obtained documents showing local National Guard units are in possession of airborne IMSI catchers.

The Texas National Guard last year spent more than $373,000 to install controversial cellphone eavesdropping devices in secretive surveillance aircraft.

Maryland-based Digital Receiver Technology Inc., or DRT, installed two of its DRT 1301C “portable receiver systems” in National Guard aircraft in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration, according to a contract between the Texas National Guard and the company. The contract states that the dirt boxes, as they’re often called after the company’s acronym, are for “investigative case analytical support” in counternarcotics operations and were purchased using state drug-asset forfeiture money.
